Ok I think this would be a good idea. The first thing someone would probably say then desparet people can try to find targets quicker lol. I know others such as myself that tend to be friends with more of a certain gender than another or just want to make friends with a certain gender. what do you guys think?
I had this same thaught yesterday keri, but didn't say it because I figured everyone would just say its a better way for perverts and stalkers to find prety, but I think it would be useful. I think it would be a good idea.

i'm also in favour of this idea. it would go nicely along side the searching by age thing that we kind of have.
I'm just surprised this isn't already implemented. You would think it would be considering thefact that there's a lot of folks looking for friendships, relationships, partnerships and the like.

Perhaps it has been suggested before, I am not sure. in any case, I will pass this suggestion on to the staff, and see where it goes. That's all I can promise. I, too, think it's actually a pretty good idea. yes, in some ways, it would allow people on here to find prey faster, but hell, they're going to find it anyway, regardless of whether we implement a search by gender or not. Many user names give it away as it is.

This, along with some other profile filters, have been implemented.
Gender will only show those who have specified a gender, for example.

It's nice to see a few sugggestions being implemented. Still, I hope people using these filters realize they're not perfect. In order to search for people by age, gender, location, etc. you have to remember a lot of people don't put that info in their profiles.
Becky is right, and possibly less will now, knowing that this feature has been implemented. I'm still glad that it was, but I look for less people to put that info in there now.
Personally I don't mind putting stuff like my location (but not a specific town or city), gender etc in my profile. The only thing that i've hidden is my age for reasons i'd rather not discuss here. But I can understand why people may be concerned about putting up info like this given the nature of the zone and some of it's users and I fully understand and respect that.

Haha, for some reason, I thought we had that option all along. Glad it's been implemented now though.
